What safety standards and audits does Transocean Group meet?

Transocean Group operates a factory that has passed a Disney FAMA audit and an amfori BSCI social-compliance audit. Products are manufactured and tested to the two principal international toy-safety standards — EN71 in Europe and ASTM F963 in the United States — with third-party test reports arranged per order and destination market.

Factory audits we hold

These are audits of the factory itself, carried out by or on behalf of the certifying body. Certificates can be provided on request.

Disney FAMA
Factory audit

A Disney FAMA (Facility and Merchandise Authorization) audit assesses a factory’s labour, safety and manufacturing practices. Passing it is the benchmark many licensed toy brands require of a supplier.

  • Labour & workplace standards
  • Manufacturing process controls
  • Reliability for licensed production
BSCI
Social audit

An amfori BSCI audit assesses the factory against a code of conduct covering working conditions, worker rights and environmental practice. It is widely required by European retailers and brands.

  • Working hours, wages & worker rights
  • Occupational health & safety
  • Environmental and ethical practice

Toy-safety standards we manufacture and test to

These are the legal safety standards a toy must meet to be sold in each market. They are verified per order by an independent laboratory — they are not certificates a factory holds permanently.

EN71
Europe

EN71 is the European Union’s toy-safety standard. It sets the requirements a toy must meet before sale in the EU, tested across several parts.

  • Part 1 — mechanical & physical properties
  • Part 2 — flammability
  • Part 3 — migration of certain elements (chemical)
ASTM F963
United States

ASTM F963 is the United States consumer safety specification for toys, mandatory under the CPSC. It governs the hazards most relevant to soft toys.

  • Small parts & choking hazards
  • Seam strength & material quality
  • Heavy-element and chemical limits

What each standard and audit covers

How compliance is handled on an order

01
Confirm target market
We identify which standard applies to where the toy will be sold.
02
Spec compliant materials
Fabrics, fills and trims are selected to meet that standard.
03
Test & inspect
Samples are tested and AQL sampling is applied during production.
04
Provide reports
Test reports and documentation are issued for the order on request.

Note: third-party laboratory testing is arranged per order and per destination market. Contact the team for the certificates relevant to a specific product.
